The Social Media Boot Camp for Local Business will teach you the why, the how-to and the practical, tactical things you can do to make social media work for your business. You'll complete the course with complete command of the latest social media marketing tools and know how to deploy them in your business.

Who Should Attend

  • Small to medium sized business owners
  • Anyone responsible for marketing or business development in their organization
  • Corporate marketing managers and directors responsible for charting the course for the next generation of marketing in their organization
  • Business-to-Business marketers seeking to develop a community with their clients and leverage social media to grow their vertical market share.
  • Business-to-Consumer marketers seeking a competitive edge by understanding and mobilizing their customer base on the Internet through social media vehicles.

This Social Media Boot Camp for Local Business Course and one-day workshop is designed to give you everything you need to be successful with social media:

  • Teach you how to determine which social media channels will best fit your audience and objectives.
  • Show you how local businesses like yours are successfully using Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Video and other social media tools and what you can learn from them.

  • Show you what happens when you don't embrace social media and how ignoring it can harm your business
  • Discover how IBM uses entertaining—yes, even funny!—podcasts to motivate and educate employees.
  • What about social media nightmares and managing your online reputation? How can these new tools be used against your company, and what can you do about it now?

What have people said about other MarketingSavant classes?

Pat Olejniczak, Kress Inn - St. Norbert College
"Dana is the Social Networking and Internet Marketing Guru. He provides "real life" examples on how to take advantage and implement the many marketing tools he provides. I found the seminar to be very rewarding and valuable. I would highly reccommend Dana's seminars and speaker engagements. I believe you would find the time well spent."

Karen Beran, Marketing Manager, Patient Care Technology Systems

Dana’s Techno Marketing training program provided the most comprehensive materials, information and case studies in a variety of industries. An open and free-flowing discussion with those in attendance was a welcomed treat from the usual lecture only format. Upon completion of the program, I left with a wealth of information and reference material that I still use 2 years later. I have also referred to Dana’s LinkedIn page for timely information and free presentations on the progress of social media and its application to B2B business.

John Benberg, Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay
"Every time I hear Dana speak a bunch of notes go down on the page--which then turn into action items back at the office--the Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay gets better with every touch."

Attendee, LinkedIn & Facebook for Professionals Workshop
"Knowledge shared with a twist of humor...my kind of seminar. Not one your head will began bobbing in after a few minutes or even hours! Every word or idea shared kept me interested. The information sponge was saturated."

Michelle Richard and Lisa Piikkila, Co-Owners, Coalesce Marketing & Design, Inc.
"Dana is the E.F. Hutton of blogs. When he talks, you can’t help but listen intently – and become totally mesmerized by the enormous potential blogging offers insofar as marketing directly to consumers and other stakeholders. But, in addition to giving our team at Coalesce Marketing & Design, Inc. a solid grasp of the awesome power of blogging, Dana has also called our attention to the “watch-outs” as we consider integrating this approach within our clients’ marketing strategies."

Judith Hepburn, Reno, NV AMA Chapter
"I worked with Dana in preparation for two AMA functions in Reno where he was the featured speaker. I was very impressed with the content of his talks, which included practical, useful and insightful marketing information for our members and guests. He delivered a superior presentation for both meetings. In addition, after his talks he created a blog for us that contained both presentations! A definite added value. I recommend Dana highly, and look forward to another presentation here in Reno."

Natalie Palmatary, Management Supervisor, Northlich, Inc.
“Let me just say…bravo! Your expertise in the new media area opened new dialogues with our clients, prospects and staff leading to expanded opportunities for our business. Your willingness to work so closely with us on the presentation and your congenial nature made our workshop even better than expected. Applause and thanks.”

Attendee, AMA TechnoMarketing Workshop
"Dana VanDen Heuvel was an outstanding instructor – great presentation, tons of info, interactive, comprehensive, accessible, good pace, kept it so interesting! Entertaining two days."

Mimi Collins, Director of Communications, NACE
"I just wanted to let you know how valuable I found the TechnoMarketing workshop in Philadelphia. There are several items I can implement immediately, and many more that we’ll look at as we move forward as we restructure our web site with a CMS."

Judy Black, Marketing Director, Metropolis at Metrotown (Vancouver)
"Just the right level of instruction! I had a hard time finding a course on this topic (TechnoMarketing), until this one came along. Most were either too piecemeal, elementary or advance. This was just right!"

Attendee, LinkedIn & Facebook for Professionals Workshop
"Excellent trainer, Dana! Thanks for the great passout so we can understand all those social media terms and marketing technology. I learned so much also by all the questions that were addressed and answered."
